About BRIGHTSCOUT
Brightscout is a global B2B design and development studio specializing in branding, websites, and digital products for emerging tech companies. We partner with high-growth teams to accelerate strategy, design, and engineering with a unified “one-house” delivery model.
Brightscout was founded in Austin, Texas in 2017. Since then we've worked exclusively with B2B technology companies, and our work has contributed to more than $1.25B in client funding and acquisitions across AI/ML, cybersecurity, developer tools, fintech, and healthcare.
We support venture-backed startups, mid-market tech companies, and enterprise innovation teams. Industries include AI/ML, cybersecurity, developer tools, data and analytics, healthcare, fintech, defense, IoT and hardware, marketing and ad tech, logistics, and professional services.
• A single integrated team across brand, web, and product
• Senior talent distributed globally
• High-velocity delivery powered by frameworks like ReadyGo
• Flexible engagement models: Fixed Scope, Flex-Team Retainers, Time and Material and Fixed Team Retainers
• Proven track record with 200+ B2B tech companies, including Mistral AI, New Relic, Topcon, Rox, Starburst, BlinkOps and Halcyon.
Engagement Models
We use four primary models:
1. Fixed-Scope Projects for branding, websites, and product builds
2. Flex-Team Retainers for ongoing design, engineering, and growth support
3. Time and Material is typically used to support small scope changes or one-off projects
4. Fixed Team Retainers for dedicated designers, developers, or a full pod assigned to your account
• Flex-Team: Elastic design, engineering, and growth support that adapts to weekly priorities
• Fixed Team: The same dedicated designers, developers, or pod every sprint, part-time or full-time, working as part of your internal team
Yes. Roughly half of our clients start with a project and expand into long-term retainers.
Branding
Depending on the service level:
• Brand strategy and positioning
• Messaging frameworks
• Visual identity
• Brand guidelines
• Asset libraries
• Brand activation assets
Branding timelines depend on company size: small companies typically take 6 to 12 weeks, medium companies take 12 to 16 weeks, and large companies take 4 to 6 months.
Yes. We create launch assets, website updates, product UI updates, and content templates.
Websites
Yes. We're a Webflow Enterprise and Premium partner, and Webflow is our go-to for marketing sites, especially paired with our ReadyGo framework for rapid development and consistent quality.
Our preferred CMS platforms are Webflow, Sanity, Payload, and headless WordPress. We're also a Sanity partner, and lean on it along with Payload and custom headless architectures for content-heavy or enterprise needs.
A typical website timeline depends on the size of the company, content readiness and feedback cycles: small companies usually take 8 to 12 weeks, medium companies take 12 to 16 weeks, and large companies take 4 to 6 months.
Yes. We can own full-ste copywriting or collaborate with your internal team.
Product Design & Engineering
Yes. We handle strategy, UX, UI, and full-stack development for early-stage products.
Yes. Often we find the best division of labor is for our team to handle the frontend while your team manages the backend, or we can collaborate directly in your backlog and split tasks based on strengths, availability and complexity.
React, Next.js, Node, Python, Go, Postgres, AWS, and modern frontend/backend stacks.
Growth
Ongoing SEO, AEO (AI/answer engine optimization), analytics, content, and conversion optimization, typically delivered through a Flex-Team Retainer alongside design and engineering rather than as a standalone service. We build in semantic structure, technical SEO fundamentals, and analytics/tracking from day one on every brand and website engagement, then layer on ongoing optimization as part of our Traction phase.
Outcomes
BRIGHTSCOUT helps B2B tech teams drive outcomes you can measure: stronger brand perception, faster pipeline growth, and higher product retention.
An outcome-focused approach keeps creative work accountable by connecting every message and design choice to a clear goal, so you can evaluate the work against real business results, not opinions.
Hire an agency that starts by defining the target outcome, establishes what will be measured, and builds the strategy, messaging, and design system specifically to improve that number.
Process & Delivery
B.R.I.G.H.T. is Brightscout's proprietary methodology, the system we run every engagement through instead of jumping straight to creative execution.
• Backstop: stabilize and stop performance loss where needed
• Research: customer, competitive, and product/analytics review
• Insight: positioning, narrative, and value proposition
• Generate: brand, website, and product build
• Hone: QA, usability testing, and conversion optimization
• Traction: launch, GTM, measurement, and ongoing optimization
It aligns strategy, brand, product, and performance into one disciplined process.
We use Notion, Slack, Figma, and weekly status calls. Every engagement includes:
• Roadmap
• Delivery plan
• Weekly status reporting
• Clear owners and communication channels
Every engagement runs on the same cadence and decision structure.
• Cadence: weekly team status and show-and-tell reviews, plus a monthly steering review with the full team and client sponsor
• Milestones: Kickoff, Strategy Lock, Design Lock, Build/Dev Acceptance, Launch, and +30 days support
• Decision rights: you own direction, priorities, and creative sign-off; we own delivery, approach, and execution; scope and timeline changes are joint calls
• Escalation: day-to-day issues go through your PM and get logged in weekly status, blockers reach the delivery lead and account manager within 4 hours, and anything strategic reaches co-sponsors within 24 hours
Through our “4-Eyes” QA, internal reviews, and structured approval workflow for strategy, design, motion, and development.
We structure feedback cycles up front, keep them timeboxed, and make sure expectations are clear before work begins.
We run an iterative, transparent approach. Any scope or priority change is documented, its impact on timeline and budget is communicated before we proceed, and we adjust plans collaboratively with your team so there are no surprises at invoice time.
You do. Clients own final deliverables and project IP per the agreement upon final payment, and we hand off source files, code, and documentation as part of closeout.
At launch, we hand off a centralized hub with source files, code, documentation, and training, so your team can run independently from day one. We also include 30 days of post-launch support to catch anything that surfaces after go-live. We'd rather be a long-term partner than a one-and-done vendor, which is why we built our Flex-Team Retainer. The same team that built your brand, website, or product can pick up right where we left off and keep iterating, with no ramp-up cost and no re-onboarding a new agency. It's continued momentum toward turning your company into a category leader and the best version of itself.
Team & Operations
We’re a global team with senior talent across the US, LATAM, and Europe.
Yes. Every engagement includes a dedicated PM to drive delivery, communication, and expectation management.
Absolutely. For retainers and Fixed Team roles, we provide full portfolio reviews and interviews.
Pricing & Budget
Projects vary based on scope and company size, but we have a general project minimum of $25K. Most branding, website, or product engagements fall between $50K and $250K, with ongoing Flex-Team or Fixed Team retainers priced separately depending on team size and duration.
Flex-Team starts at $5,000/month, plus a 12.5% management fee (covering coordination, quality oversight, and account management). It's a month-to-month plan with no minimum commitment, and monthly hours can scale up or down as your needs change. Approved work beyond your monthly hours is billed at the overage rate.
After a short discovery call, we create an alignment brief with scope, assumptions, timeline, and pricing tiers (Essential, Recommended, Scale).
Logistics
Yes. We optimize for ET and PT collaboration windows.
Just Slack or Teams and email for communication. We bring everything else, like Jira, Figma, and Notion, so there's nothing new for your team to set up or learn.
We begin with a short alignment call and draft the brief, and for teams that need it, we can present a more formal pitch before moving into the SOW.
