Pixie helps developers explore, monitor, secure and manage their applications without the need to change code, manually set up dashboards or compromise on how much data they can observe.
We started working with Pixie when the product was sketches and words on paper. It was our job to turn those words and highly technical concepts into a product that solved very complex problems in an intuitive way that developers would rave about. When it came time to think about the brand and how we talked to customers, we strived to build a brand that spoke directly to developers on their terms in a way that developers could connect with and talk about.
We built a scalable design system around both the product and brand that lives to this day. The product can be scaled and the illustrations that the world has come to love, can we scaled using an intuitive illustration system. Every piece of marketing collateral and website feature is built upon the same system that drives the product. This creates a through line of communication and personality that is cohesive and authentic to its core.
We take pride in knowing that we supported Pixie from early product stage to a successful acquisition by NewRelic. The brand and brand personality was immediately loved by the developer community. The community driven approach to our design has given us unique insights in to what works and what doesn’t work when building brands for developers.
